Google Local Services Ads, run for you.
Maxpec sets up and runs Google Local Services Ads (LSA) for home service companies — the Google Verified badge, the budget, the job types and every lead — together with your website and your Google Business Profile, and a report every month on what each call cost.
Local Services Ads are moving into Google Ads.
They are not going away. From August 2026 Google is bringing Local Services Ads into Google Ads, where they run as Performance Max campaigns for pay-per-lead goals — Google also calls them Local Services campaigns. Here is what that means for a contractor.
What stays the same
You pay per lead — a call, a message or a booking — not per click. The ads show on Google Search and Maps. There are no keywords to buy.
What changes
Leads arrive in Lead Manager inside Google Ads. Weekly budgets become daily budgets, and bidding becomes a target cost per lead set for the campaign. BBB ratings no longer show on the ad.
When
A first group of US advertisers — plumbing, HVAC and roofing among them — from August 2026. More US advertisers through the rest of 2026. Accounts outside the US and the remaining categories in 2027. Google sends notice 14 days before an account moves.
Before your account moves
Download your lead and performance reports: they do not carry over to the new campaign. Maxpec saves them for every client before the move.
The badge
Google Verified replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened in 2025. It shows that Google checked the business and, depending on the trade, the license, the insurance and the people who do the work.
The rules
Google’s policy pages now call them the Local Services Ads requirements (effective 31 July 2026). New advertisers still sign up through Local Services Ads until Google opens pay-per-lead campaigns to them inside Google Ads.

Six jobs, every week.
Setup and verification
We build the profile, choose the job types and the service area, and walk you through Google’s checks for the Google Verified badge.
Budget and cost per lead
We set the budget with you before launch and adjust it every week against the leads it bought — and, once your account is in Google Ads, the daily budget and the target cost per lead.
Every lead reviewed
We review and rate every lead, so the ones that were not real jobs go back to Google for credit.
Reviews and your profile
Reviews and a complete Google Business Profile help decide who shows first, so we keep the profile current and ask for a review after every job.
The move to Google Ads
When Google moves your account, we save your reports first, check the new campaign’s settings and keep the leads coming.
Every call counted
Calls from your ads, your website and your Google profile in one report every month, with what each one cost.
Part of the marketing plan.
Local Services Ads are run inside Maxpec’s marketing plan: $1,500 a month for twelve months, plus a one-time $1,500 setup, with your website, your Google Business Profile and a monthly call report included. Ad spend is yours: paid to Google from your own account, on your own card. We set the budget with you before launch and never touch the money.

What are Google Local Services Ads?
- Google Local Services Ads (LSA) are pay-per-lead ads for local service businesses — plumbers, roofers, HVAC and electrical contractors, cleaners and many more. They show on Google Search and Maps with the Google Verified badge, and the business pays for a lead — a call, a message or a booking — not for a click.
Is Google replacing Local Services Ads?
- No, Google is moving them. From August 2026, starting with a first group of US advertisers and continuing into 2027, Local Services Ads run inside Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns for pay-per-lead goals, also called Local Services campaigns. You still pay per lead and the ads still show on Google Search and Maps; leads arrive in Lead Manager in Google Ads, budgets become daily and bidding becomes a target cost per lead. Google gives 14 days’ notice before an account moves.
What is a Local Services campaign in Google Ads?
- A Local Services campaign is what Local Services Ads become once they run inside Google Ads: a Performance Max campaign with a pay-per-lead goal. You still pay per lead, not per click; the leads, the budget and the reports move into the Google Ads account. The old lead reports do not carry over, so download them before the move.
What is the difference between Local Services Ads and Google search ads?
- Local Services Ads charge per lead — a call, a message or a booking from a customer in your service area — and carry the Google Verified badge. Google search ads charge per click, whether or not the click turns into a call, and run on the keywords you bid on. Maxpec’s marketing plan runs Local Services Ads; Google search campaigns and Facebook or Instagram ads are not in it.
What does Maxpec charge to run Local Services Ads?
- Maxpec runs Local Services Ads as part of its marketing plan: $1,500 a month for twelve months, plus a one-time $1,500 setup, with the website, the Google Business Profile, call tracking and a monthly call report included. The ad spend is separate and goes to Google from your own account, on your own card.
How long does Google Verified take?
- As long as Google’s checks take. Depending on the trade and the state, Google checks the business, the license, the insurance and the people who do the work, and the clock is Google’s. Maxpec files everything the week you say yes, and your website and Google Business Profile go live in the meantime.
Who owns the Local Services Ads account?
- You do. The ad account, the Google Business Profile and the domain are in your name from day one, the ad spend is on your card, and the account and its history stay with you if you leave.
